Hawthorn has been widely accepted in both the traditional healing community as well as the "western" medical community for supporting healthy strength & tone of the heart muscle, oxygen uptake, circulation, energy, and blood vessel health. It is the leading herb for lowering cholesterol, balancing blood pressure, and restoring hardened arteries.^
Motherwort is an anxiety calming herb with a specific affinity for the heart and uterus. It has been known to bring on delayed menstruation and strengthen the heart while lowering the heartrate and thinning the blood. It is used for easing the nervous irritability and tension that we often see lead to heart palpitations.^
Lemon Balm is a mood-lifting herb with an affinity for the nervous system. We see it used to help with anxiety, sleep, tension, depression, and upset stomach. It has strong anti-viral tendencies and may lower an overactive thyroid.^
Rose petals are rich in antioxidant polyphenols, thought to help combat oxidative stress caused by free radicals. They contain as much phenol content and antioxidant activity as green tea, if not more. Hot water is unable to extract all of the antioxidants in rose petals. In fact, rose petal extracts can boast 30–50% greater antioxidant activity than rose tea.^
