4 ways to get the most out of Persephone's Herbs:

1. Facial Steam

  • Grab a big fluffy towel and choose your spot. Comfort is key, so if you’re doing this over a sink you’ll want to use a chair or stool that offers the right height. Otherwise, a bowl on a table is your best bet.
  • Secure your hair so that it’s off your face and cleanse using a gentle exfoliating cleanser
  • Bring 4 to 6 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or pot.
  • Add a handful of Persephone's Herbs to your bowl, and cover with the boiling water.
  • Have a seat, drape your towel over your head and the pot, and hold your face 6 inches above the water.
  • Raise or lower your head for more or less heat and lift a corner of the towel to cool off if needed.
  • Steam your face for 5 to 10 minutes.
  • Pat dry & follow with a moisturizer or your favorite serum.


2. Yoni and/or Root Chakra Sitz Bath 

  • Find a basin just big enough to fit your keester in and place it in your tub (to catch any overflow)
  • Fill the basin with a kettle's worth of boiling water. Add Epsom salts if you wish.
  • Drop in your muslin bag filled with Nether Blend, and allow it to steep for 10 minutes. 
  • Add more hot or cool water from the tub until the basin is full of enough hot water to cover your hips when you sit in it.
  • Test the infusion to make sure it is not too hot.
  • Carefully lower your bare keester into the basin until seated.
  • Try to relax for 10-20 minutes.


3. Yoni and/or Root Chakra Steam

  • Bring 8 cups of water to a boil
  • Turn off the heat, add a handful of Persephone's Herbs, & cover with a lid.
  •  Allow to steep for ten minutes.
  • Pour this infusion into a bowl, bucket, or basin that is narrow enough to straddle. (If you are uncomfortable squatting, place a bowl in your toilet that rests on the rim of the seat instead)
  • Test the infusion to make sure it is not too hot.
  • Remove your underwear and squat over the basin or sit on the toilet seat above the steaming water.
  • Drape a large blanket or sheet around your waist down to the floor making sure no steam escapes.
  • Enjoy the rolling, healing heat until it cools & subsides, about 10-12 minutes.


4. Traditional Bath

  • Add a handful of Persephone's Herbs to the muslin bag. Add Epsom salts and/or oats if you wish.
  • Toss the bag in your tub of hot water and allow it to steep for 10 minutes.
  • Enjoy your soak, then empty & clean your bag for next time. 
  • This method isn't as potent but is still generally beneficial all around for body, mind, & spirit.

***It is very important to test the temperature of the steam before using it. If it is too hot wait 15 seconds and test it again until it feels comfortably warm to steam with.

Do not add or use “essential oils” as they are too strong and may burn sensitive tissue.
